He "likes" her, but mostly as a gullible tool. She helps him out, trying her best to change him for the better. It doesn't work, of course. Despite this—and what he'd claim himself—she's not disposable to him. He has some (non-romantic) feelings for her.

As a teen, he tried to get on her good side, simply because her parents are powerful, which is why Victoria still feels a little attached to him today: due to those happy childhood memories where she thought he was the only one who cared.

As a child, Victoria looked up to Zane, for being so smart and talented, him being one of the only people who spent time with her while she was growing up (her family was very distant).

When an older teen, she catches onto how cruel he can be, and her pure heart constantly pesters him for it, knowing he could do so much good for the world if he was less selfish and cruel. While she constantly criticizes his actions and attitude, she still looks up to him for his intelligence, and has a bit of an inferiority complex, knowing she's not nearly as competent, now matter how hard she tries.

Zane resents his mother for her boundless optimism making his childhood a living hell. She forced him into sports, which caused quite a few asthma attacks as well as genreal ridicule by his peers. His pessimism and misanthropy stems from her being the opposite of those two things.

Zane's overly optimistic mother. She loves him, but in a superficial way, without ever trying to understand his viewpoint on anything. She's proud of him, but deep down, wishes he were more sporty.

Canonically, Zane and Janus don't know each other. Zane holds some resentment for his father, for helping create him while leaving him behind with his mother he despises, but his dislike for his mother makes him not capable of fully hating his father, since he believes leaving her was the right choice.

Janus is unaware he has a kid with the one night stand he had while stationed in the South as a new military recruit, but if he did know about Zane's existence, he'd want to be an active part of his life. I like to think about scenarios where they do end up meeting. Janus is flighty and bad with his words but tries his best to connect with his son, while Zane is prickly at every turn.

He's very controlling over Vivienne, wanting her to be mini-Zane. He regulates her diet and is critical if she fails to follow it. He homeschools her, and his classes are long and tedious. He rarely lets her leave the house, not wanting her to be influenced by "lesser children."

Despite this, he does wish the best for her—"the best" happening to just be very particular.

She has a rocky relationship with him. She knows he has problems of his own, but she hates how she can't have her own life due to this.

Zane only dated her to secure an easy residency with her parents, Lucius and Elois and Blodstein, who were both doctors, though the two did have similarly no-nonsense personalities, making their time together relatively enjoyable. If Zane weren't a terrible, selfish person, they probably would've been a decent couple. Despite being the one to dump her (once he was hired by a bigger clinic), Zane has a lot more resentment, because she ended up being the more successful doctor.

Despite Zane being the one who dumped her, Elaine is very over Zane. She thinks he's a deplorable person, but he hardly crosses her mind. He's in the past. Other things are far more important.

The prudish Zane dislikes Gatlin at base, and utterly despises him once Gat realizes this and starts messing with him. Gat finds Zane insufferable and loves it, because that makes him the perfect "target" for his antics, without having much pushback from others. If Zane finds a way to hit Gat where it hurts (his casino, probably), they could have a mutual hatred. That'd be fun.

Unlike most of his targets, he prefers messing with Zane in more subtle ways, like doing the opposite of what Zane asks him to do, or telling a neighbor "That Lune guy would love it if you do this," knowing full well it'll irritate him. He's very much a troll, and enjoys making Zane seethe without having to even say anything to his face. He'll often feign ignorance when confronted, knowing that upsets Zane too.

Zane looks down on Absit for being weak and pathetic and might be one to mock or "use" Absit, if he wants something, knowing he won't put up a fight. He also might potentially help Absit, not for his sake, but because Zane hates Gatlin and knows Absit doesn't like him either. So even if Absit won't help him, Zane might utilize Absit as an excuse as to why something he does to Gatlin is justified.

Absit is a bit scared of Zane, but he's scared about just about everyone. He tries his best to not get on his bad side, and overall succeeds. Zane appreciates suck ups (while also looking down on them, a little hypocritically).

Idunn is far too chaotic for Zane's liking, and while he can often manipulate her into committing acts he would never wish to dirty himself with, she's unreliable, so he doesn't proposition her particularly often. When he does, it tends to be to attempt to hurt Gatlin, of course.

Idunn finds Zane "funny," and loves when he enables her destructive side, but other times, she doesn't like him, for being a stick in the mud (when she's causing him problems).

Zane finds Deems to be an insufferable loudmouth, but a potentially useful one, due to his gullibility and easiness to please through basic compliments. Zane likely sarcastically mocks him for fun, only for it to fly over Deems' head, and be proud of the "compliment." Zane could probably manipulate him into hurting Gatlin if need be, which means Deems isn't entirely useless. Zane apprecaites a useful idiot.

On Deems' part, he doesn't really "like" Zane, per se, but given the aforementioned "compliments," he doens't dislike him either. He just finds him weird.

Zane despises her, both for her annoyingness and for being a perverted woman. Thankfully for Zane, they don't interact too frequently.

Liv loves messing with Zane, because he gives very strong, overblown reactions. She calls him gay a lot.It makes him very mad.

Zane likes The Traitor, mostly as a tool. She gives him power, and he loves power. That said, given his brutal cynicism isn't respected by most, he also appreciates having someone he can freely discuss his more macabre, pessimistic thoughts to, without causing a big fight.

He wants to be attached to her forever, both so he can live forever and for her powers. Regrettably, to keep their synergy up, he has to try to work towards her goal of finding her old platoon and getting revenge. ...So he does try, but very slowly, while he tries to figure out how he can stay alive and powerful, even without her. Surely, there must be some supernatural phenomenon that can help him...

He dislikes the name "The Traitor," finding it juvenile, thus refers to her as "Morrigan" instead, based off of the Irish goddess related to war and fate, also called "the phantom queen," which takes the form of a black crow (badb). He thinks it fits well. He's not wrong.

The Traitor has heavily mixed opinions on her Sin-Eater, Zane. On the one hand, they both are cynics motivated by logic over emotion, who will do terrible acts for the sake of their goals. On the other hand, Zane is staunchly capitalistic and outwardly mocks those who suffer under the system, claiming they simply failed at "playing the game." The Traitor abhors this, and people with that point of view would be the exact people she'd have hoped to murder to send a message.

They get along well during most missions, but she wants to snap his neck when classism happens to be involved.

Arcelia one of the only people Zane truly respects and enjoys the company of, because her intellect is even higher than his own. They disagree on some things, but their debates are calm and respectable. He cares for her well-being, though claims that it's fully out of greed, as she's 'of more worth' to him alive than she would be dead.

Arcelia doesn't condone Zane's more unscrupulous actions, but tends to accept that he's doing it for the greater good. She does lightly scold him for some of his more egregious acts, but does no more than that. She also continually tells him he needs to eat more, and these arguments are the only ones where Zane's responses are ridiculous and childish, insisting that his body doesn't matter so long as it's still capable of walking and breathing.

He absolutely despises this woman and would rejoice if she died. She is a constant thorn in his side, and her lack of loyalty means she can't be manipulated like the others. That said, in certain timelines, she is the only 'ally' he has (as unreliable as she is), given his own nasty personality tends to push everyone else away. Sometimes, he has no choice but to work with her.

Zane is Verity's favorite person to annoy because his reactions are so great. Deems' reactions may be more silly and over-the-top, but messing with someone actually competent is so much more fun than ruining an already-incompetent man's plans. She will bother him both verbally and physically, with the physical nuisances tending to irritate him more. Thus far, she has made multiple people believe his name is 'Philip,' destroyed an ancient spellbook, and thrown him to werewolves.

Deimos looks up to Sapphire, fully admitting she's the more competent of the two of them. That said, he's competitive just like her, and hopes for the chance to one day best her. If backstabbing her gives him more knowledge or power, he'd do it in a heartbeat, and he knows the feeling is mutual.

Sapphire

Sapphire finds Deimos a "friend" only because they share similar values, which is rare to come by. She's annoyed by his smarminess, and finds his obsessive insanity clouds his better judgement. She doesn't trust him, but she'll gladly work with him, to achieve her own goals.
