Basic Info
A bit of a deadbeat. Born into poverty, he hated his human life and much prefers being a vampire, where at least meals are easy enough to find. He's jaded with society as a whole—human and vampire alike. Unruly, even within his group, and has become tired of being called out for it. Jumped at the chance to Turn Gatlin due to his money and influence; he hoped the Blood Bond would turn him into a rich minion to help him get a leg up in the world.
- He was a thug in life and a thug in undeath. He gets by through stealing, threatening, and blackmailing.
- He "Turned" Galtin for the sake of having a nice piggy-bank. He blackmails him into giving him a weekly allowance.
- He's used his vampirism to get himself a small gang of Ghouls who look up to him for his strength, and rely on him for their own power. He's not a great leader, though, nor is he actually likeable. Those who follow him are just in it for the power he can give them.
- Gatlin accidentally killed him by feeding him to a Shadow Creature. He was trying to help his friend, Piper, who kept getting body parts stolen by the creature, by offering Kurt's legs instead, so it didn't need Piper's. But instead, the creature consumed in entirely and became this weird alien-esque white thing, and Kurt became a new Shadow Creature.
- "Shadow Kurt," as he was called, then followed Gatlin around near the end of the campaign, which freaked Gatlin out. He solved this by feeding Shadow Kurt to a Strix (big owl). Poor Kurt, fed by to a monster by his Childe twice in a month or so. Now he's gone for good.
Trivia
- He's a goil to Gatlin: Gatlin's desperately clinging onto his humanity, while Kurt hates humans and prefers the vampire life.
- Name Origin: He was created as Gatlin's Sire for Vampire: The Requiem, which took place in Berlin, so I wanted a German name. "Kurt" because he's curt, and "Kaiser" because he's dictatorial to Gatlin. Also, aliteration is nice.
- Gatlin often refers to him as "Kaiser Kurt," due to how Kurt treats him.
- I like him a lot, for being a side character who appeared only twice, and didn't have much screentime. He's one of those characters where I have this unwritten "ideal" of him in my head that I like. He's such an edgy misanthropist, but also kind of a loser, behind it all, who can get caught off guard by stupid stuff.
- He hates his Bloodline (Erzsebet). It's the most "human" of them all (still warm, has a heartbeat, etc.). He wishes his body were more dead, like other vampires.

Philosophy
"Humans are cattle. You've probably heard that a hundred times by now, but it's true. Just accept it."
Fuck Humanity
Growing up in poverty, Kurt hated humanity as a whole, often putting on this caring act, while failing to actually help pull most people out of poverty. He was elated when he was turned into a vampire and could stop playing the "human" game, now powerful enough to take what he wanted from those stupid lying humans. He does hate the irony that his Bloodline happens to be the most "human" of all vampires. It's disgusting.
Hobbies
Ordering his Crew Around
He likes feeling in control. So long as he can get away with it (which tends to be easy, as he's the vampire, and his crew are mere Ghouls who require his blood), he'll order his minions to do borderline useless tasks for him, just becauase he can.
Watching Television
He didn't have a TV until he became a vampire, so he appreciates it now as a luxury. He especially likes True Crime, but he enjoys adult comedies and action movies too. At least humans are good at making entertainment.
Being a Thug
Being a thug is how he makes a living, but he also just enjoys it by this point. Hurting others makes him feel powerful.
History

Vampire: The Requiem: Gatlin's Campaign
Kurt was born in poverty, probably as an orphan. He fell in with a bad crowd by his early teens, joining a gang. At age 15 (youngest for fulltime employment in Germany), he tried a few "real" jobs, in hopes of moving up in the world, but his low education and bad attitude prevented him from keeping any for long, and he gave up within months. He hated dealing with people anyway, so he was glad to turn to crime instead. While a "job" made him feel weak by forcing subservience to others, being a thug made him feel strong and in control: something he lacked anywhere else in his impoverished life.
But while he did have more power as a thug, he didn't have full power, still having to compete with gangs. His stunted sociability made it difficult for him to work with others, but being alone limited his abilities.
One night, he's doing his usual threats in back alleyways, but instead of his victim being scared, she laughs, amused. With no fear, she taunts him, asking him to give her his best shot. He charges at her with his knife, but she easily rips it from his hand and pins him against the wall. She tells him it's cute how he thought he stood a chance, but then offers "fixing" him. With that, he's bitten and Embraced.
He wakes up in a nice hotel room, and she explains vampirism to him, saying she's curious whether her "gift" is enough for his "pathetic self" to succeed in life now. He's angry, but he can still do nothing to her, due to some odd compelling (Blood Bond).
Blablabla, the two aren't close, her being more of a socialite, but he's entertainment to her, curious what he'll do with his new powers.
Kurt is annoyed when he still struggles to make a name for himself in the criminal underworld, now having to deal with vampire hunters too, as well as other vampires, vying for the same blood. He has a few run ins with the police as well, but surprisingly, this is a blessing, when he's finally caught by Gunter, working as an undercover cop—and also an undercover vampire. He tells him he's seen him struggling, and offers he join his group of vampires, which would give him more protection, both from hunters and the law.
It's not the criminal gang he was looking for, Gunter's group being as moral as they can for being bloodsucking creatures, but his life is a bit more stable with Gunter.
Gatlin
Kurt stays in Gunter's gang, but he's not happy with it, it reminding him of his short stint with working jobs. Perhaps he didn't have to deal with customers, but he was still told to do tasks for the benefit of other members, and he didn't like having to follow orders. He still wanted to be the one in full control.
One time, while on a "training" mission with a young vampire named Jan near Casa del Sino, Gatlin, the casino's owner, happens to approach the alleyway the group was hiding in. The rest quickly flee, and tell Kurt to do the same, but he sees this as an opportunity to finally make a name for himself.
He grabs Gatlin and sucks his blood dry, Embracing him as a vampire—his vampire. Most importantly, the man was rich and had connections, and now Kurt was his Sire: above him. Through a mix of the Blood Bond and blackmail (threatening to out him as a vampire to any of Gatlin's many connections), he's able to wrap Gatlin around his finger.
Normally, he just treats him as a piggy-bank, but sometimes, he asks him to do other stuff for him, too, and with so much success with Gatlin, he starts looking for other targets too, eventually building a little gang of Ghouls who required his blood to keep living.
Regrettably, in time, Gatlin joins his own little vampire gang, and they're tasked with arresting Kurt, after he makes a deal with a dangerous parasite. He's jailed, and weeks later, Gatlin visits him with a Shadow Creature, planning on it just taking his legs, but it eats him entirely instead. Whoops.
