Basic Info

I preferred Fossils, but most of my friends were Fossils, so I was on Team Crystal until the very last day. I decided I'd save my last Attack to my closest friend (also on Crystals) for the end, so I could successfully swap to Fossils to recieve full points for that Attack. ...I could've won, otherwise.

  • This was my second loss, out of 9 (the other loss being Vampires). I should've stayed on Crystals, darn it.
  • Slow year. I did 35 total Attacks, compared to 42 Defenses. This is the least amount of Attacks I've done since 2017, my very first year. I think a lot of it was due to getting so many Defenses this year (donator 😔). Revenges for strangers take longer to brainstorm/draw.
  • Liv and Punished Burrito Zane (joke character) are the only non-side characters who recieved nothing.
  • Zane recieved the most Attacks, but Gatlin and Deems recieved more "points."

Firsts

  • This was the first year I had all my characters "compete" for Attacks/points in my profile drawing, and the second year of this general tradition.
  • This is the first year I've given characters "stats," inspired by another user, ~WingsOfAvalon.
    • Gatlin and Deems were defeated (lost all their HP). Zane would've been defeated if he didn't have high Resistance, which is the best defense against large Attacks.
  • This was the first year I did a 3D Attack. It was amateur, but that was part of the charm.

Highlights

Yuu in Blender

It's a beautiful pun. I had this idea in my head since March or something, and I did a little dabbling in Blender early, in hopes I could make this. Quality doesn't matter. Heck, low quality makes it more amusing. Love it.

My original plan didn't include a pan to Zane, but after this friend sent a Blender thing to me with him, I had the perfect opportunity to tie the two Attacks together. He's the one who did it. He Blendered her...

The Perfectly Crafted Attack

This is a parody of those low quality Photo Attacks with a finger in the photo, poor lighting, and the photo is sideways, except PLOT TWIST, I drew the entire Attack sideways, so me taking a photo of it sideways makes it SEEM upright, when it's not. I love making dumb stuff like this. The thumbnail image is better quality, since apparently that's a thing that happens too? The entire Attack is an intentonal mess, and that's why I love it.

My favorite Attacks of the year are almost always low quality shitposts. This is why I need to draw more fun dumb things like this instead of painstakingly making wonky-but-more-finished "pretty" Attacks. That said, this still took hours to make. Drawing sideways is time consuming.

PC version:

Banners

Zane and Gatlin are still my favorites and the two who duked it out last year (along with Absit, not by choice), so I put them on my banner. Gatlin's campaign indeed ended, with Zane getting more attention, so I figured Zane had a better chance of beating Gatlin, unlike last year. It was true, though only in Attack count. Gatlin got Attacks worth more points.

Start

July 20th

Deems only got one Attack, and it's in character for him to whine about everything, so he whined.

July 27th

Deems was hit by two very large Attacks, losing all his HP, so he quickly turned around and asked to not be hit anymore. He's averse to pain.

OC Competition

This was very fun, but was also a minor secondary reason why I probably accomplished less this year. This is not extensive, but covers the important changes.
