"Zaaaaane! You can't do that! It's evil!"
Basic Info

Victoria's a booksmart, streetdumb noble who's kindhearted to a fault. She tries her best to do the right thing, though her sense of justice is rather undeveloped, so she may do more harm than good, unable to take the 'morally wrong' but better way out (like ending a suffering person's life).
She's Zane's cousin and very much his foil. He's pretty evil, she's incredibly 'good.' He's very smart and physically weak, she's the opposite. And so on. His superior intellect and "talent" is a big reason why she has such an inferiority complex.
- She has a strong but misguided sense of justice, tending to see things as simply good and evil, which isn't surprising, given how irredeemable her cousin is. She has a tough time accepting moral grays (like mercifully killing someone with no chance of recovery), instead claiming that it's never right to do anything considered legally or morally wrong, regardless of the circumstances.
- She can be pretty childish and pouty when things don't go her way. She thinks she's more mature than she is.
- She easily idolizes anyone who has a talent she wishes she had (ex: smart people, people skilled with magic, etc.). She technically idolizes Zane, despite also hating him. It's complicated.
- If it weren't for Zane, she'd probably be a far more balanced, rational person when it comes to making tough but prudent decisions that may be in the moral grey.
Trivia
- "Victoria Ismine" = "Victory is mine," (though I pronounce "Ismine" as "is mean"). I can't help but make punny names. Perhaps I'll change her last name someday.
- She's a stereotypical tourist when it comes to buying useless merchandise. She probably collects merchandise from her favorite shows too.
- In this fantasy canon, Zane kind of wanted to marry her, but not for love or attraction; it was simply so he could take the throne. The aromantic asexual didn't understand why that was wrong. Victoria wasn't interested.
- Personality-wise, she's pretty similar to Lambert (charity, faith in bringing out the 'good' in people) and Thalassa (charity, inferiority complex, with the desire to stay positive). Victoria came first, though, so if anything, they're taking from her.

Philosophy
"Love and Justice will always win! ...Eventually. Surely."
Do the right thing!
Victoria has a very strong sense of justice, but doesn't have very good judgement to go along with that. She sees the world as black and white, and finds it hard to accept that there are oftentimes moral greys—at least not without someone pointing them out to her first.
Depending on who is pointing this out to her, she may still reject their criticism and insist that she's right, but potentially with some inner conflict. If she respects the person, she may solemnly back down from her belief, still wishing the solution was as simple as she first thought it to be.
History
Generalized
Victoria grows up to parents rarely pay her any mind. She's lonely, but thankfully, her older cousin, Zane, starts interacting with her instead. Not having anyone else, she grows very attached to him, and looks up to him for how smart and talented he is, hoping to be just like him when she grows up.
Once she's older, she learns that Zane only acted so friendly to her to get in with her rich parents. She's heartbroken and resents Zane, but she can't completely discard those happier times, and pines for them to return.
Things change for the better when she attends college, her supportive personality making her her first real friends, and she becomes a more well-adjusted person. But those dreams of becoming just as talented as Zane still haunt her. No matter how hard she tries, she simply can't gain his level of success.
Original Fantasy Canon
The main through-line is the same, just with her parents being royalty, which means Zane's motivations to grow close to her are way stronger.
Young Victoria was born into royalty, but was never fond of it, tending to be ignored by her father and instead spending her days without any friends to play with. This changed when her older cousin, Zane, stepped into her life, around the time she was seven (Zane fourteen). Despite the age gap, he'd hang out with her quite frequently, treating her with the utmost respect. They played games, talked, and he tried to teach her magic, and she felt she could talk to him about absolutely everything, including how she felt about the rest of her family. She was pretty sure her parents didn't love her, but thought of him as her big brother. This immense trust was exactly what Zane wanted, as his goal was to manipulate his way onto the throne through her, whether that be through her cedeing the throne to him by choice, through marrying her, or simply using her as a bargaining chip against the king at a later date.
Being young and gullible, she doesn't catch onto his ploy until her dad, the king, starts catching onto his extreme closeness to his daughter and banishes him when she's a teen.
As the truth dawns on her, she grows to resent Zane, but she doesn't fully believe his interest in her was a ruse until she witnesses him committing heartless acts with her own eyes. Feeling utterly betrayed, she starts claiming he's 'evil,' and tries to stop him whenever she can. But missing those happier times, she hopes to somehow redeem him and 'turn him to the light,' since she knows he'd be a great asset to the population if he simply utilized his talents for 'good.'
