Gat is wearing a corset so he can be "sexy" and not fat (though this was before I made him even heavier). Nina's not in a costume. I'm not sure if she'd wear one; she might just put a pumpkin 'patch' on her sleeve or something. She'd probably say she's "dressed as herself" or something.

I DO like Gatliv, but just as Friends with Benefits. They are not meant to be 'special' to each other. They are both goofy pervs. I will muse in a comment.

IN A WAY, Gatlin, Liv, and Nina are in a love triangle of sorts, but it's NOT your average one.

Gatlin and Liv don't have strong romantic feelings for each other and really do just fool around as loose perverts. They don't EXPECT to ever be anything deeper. They LIKE the casual stuff. It's simple, easy, enjoyable, and not stressful.

Meanwhile, Gatlin and Nina both genuinely love each other in this odd sort of 'open secret' between them (Gatlin shows it constantly; Nina acts like she doesn't like him back, but does), but by being so openly perverted with Liv (and others), his chances of being with Nina are impossible, because she WOULDN'T want him still messing around with other women. As she puts it, she "doesn't want to be another notch on [his] 'friends Gat has fucked' belt," and she worries that'd be what it would feel like. Him sleeping around deteriorates any specialness of being his partner, and she doesn't think he's capable of not at least FLIRTING with other women. So they're kind of stuck.

While Gatlin's correct in 'knowing' their feelings are mutual, he'd be surprised and hurt to learn that if he DID finally ask to date her—or kissed her on the lips at the end of an emotional moment together—that she would reject him due to the above reasons. I like playing this sad scene in my head where it goes:
G: But... I LOVE you. I thought you knew that.
N: I do.
G: And I... I thought you loved me, too.
N: ...I do.
G: Then WHY?

And so on. He might argue that she COULD be his only special person, but when she asks him if he truly thinks he'd be capable of not flirting with other women, he DOES falter. He's not sure if he is.

But as just friends, she's RELATIVELY fine with him being an open whore. RELATIVELY. It's one of those "You're a close friend and I don't like this side of you, but it's your life and none of my business, so I'll let you be" things. Because NO friend is perfect.
