Basic Info

A supersoldier from a technologically advanced galaxy with nigh-constant planet-wide wars. He grew up in wartime, and ended up choosing the life of a soldier as a career path, finding himself too unskilled to become a scientist like his friends. Once a shy, depressed man, after countless experiments my Deimos and Sapphire to 'create the perfect man,' he's now a fun-loving narcissist who doesn't take much of anything seriously.

  • Super strong, super fast, and can fly even faster than he can run. His wings are an addition by Deimos and Sapphire, not original to his body.
  • Pretty happy-go-lucky and easy to get along with, unless one is aggravated my his self-aggrandizing.
    • He is more in love with "himself" than anyone else; if he could date himself, he would, and given how he sometimes compliments himself in the third person, it sometimes feels like he already is.

Trivia

  • He works out constantly, even when talking to others/doing some menial task. Why stand around, when you could be gaining muscle?
  • He occasionally speaks in the third person.
  • He loves fending for himself in the wildernes. The more dangerous, the better.
  • He has rabies. :( (But the medication stopped it from spreading to his brain.)
  • He and his friends all have names tied to celestial bodies.
    • Amun Phact:
      • Amun: hidden, invisible. Father of the Moon god.
      • Phact: Star in the Dove constellation. Amun had temples to it."
    • Deimos Aldebaren:
      • Deimos: Moon Satellite of Mars. Terror.
      • Aldebaren: Star in Taurus.
      • Arabic al Dabarān (الدبران), meaning 'the follower.' He is NOT a follower, thou. Just adding as a potential fun fact.
    • Sapphire Spica
      • Sapphire: Birthstone of September.
      • Spica: Star in Virgo, which September is part of.
    • Deneb Algedi
      • The brightest Capricornus (goat) constellation star. Deneb Algedi is the primary star of a binary star system (stars that pull on and orbit around each other), also called "Delta Capricorni Ab." It comes from Arabic ذنب الجدي (ðanab al-jady), meaning "the tail of the goat. (Info)

Philosophy

Your body and my mind... together we are perfect~!

Perfection above all Else

"Amun" is all about perfectionism and the strive to attain it. If something can be better, it should be better, and fixing it is only logical. Getting permission is optional.

History

Space

Amun started off as a simple soldier with an inferiority complex, due to two of his closest friends, Deimos and Sapphire, being literal geniuses. He gave up his body for to them to experiment on, but another close childhood friend, Deneb, stopped them from going too far, until he was shot while trying to rescue an enemy child from an inter-city battlefield. With nothing else to live for, Amun gave himself fully to science, his friends turning him into a genetically-altered supersoldier.

With his new body, he moved up the ranks of the military, but his "friends" wanted more. With their intellect and his strength, they took control of an enemy moon, and rammed it into the enemies' planet, ending the war, but becoming intergalactic war criminals in the process. The three started planet hopping to avoid authorities, occasionally commiting more atrocities to get away. At some point along the way, Sapphire and Deimos were killed, Amun's personality changing around the same time, becoming the confident braggart he's known to be in the present.

This would've been a plot twist if he were in a campaign, but surprise! Deimos and Sapphire didn't "die;" they knew their bodies were dead weights, and decided to body-hop into Amun to better dodge the authorities as one super-powered entity. "Amun" the person hardly exists anymore, with Deimos taking control most of the time. This is why the once-self-hating man is now an egomaniac: it's Deimos. This is also why he sometimes talks in the third-person: because Deimos is describing Amun from within him.

(As time moved on, I focused more on just Deimos, so I'm not sure if I'm keeping Sapphire involved "inside" of him or not. Perhaps they had a disagreement and she's now an enemy on the outside. The two vying for control of him, leading to almost a split peresonality is fun, but Amun being just Deimos makes things less overly complex, which is good.

Note about Amun

Amun is a special case, because the "real" Amun is long gone, replaced by Deimos. Here, I have both the real Amun (before he was body-snatched) and Deimos listed on Amun's "side." Current Amun's feelings would be Deimos'.

Deimos Aldebaren (Literally Him)

Amun

Present-day Amun is Deimos in his skin. The "real" Amun didn't like Deimos' flippancy towards others' suffering, but tended to write off his qualms as being "stupid," because Deimos was so much smarter than him, thus surely must be right to discard "lesser" people for the sake of himself. Amun trusted and cared for Deimos far too much, leading to his fate.

Feelings
Feelings

Deimos

Deimos obsessed over Amun, not as a person, but as a beloved project. After the enhancements, he considered Amun the perfect physical specimen, but was constantly disappointed with Amun's flawed, depressed personality. It ruined him, and had to be removed. Perfectly pleased with his own mind and personality, the insane scientist decided that Amun would be perfect if he were in control of him, thus he body hopped into Amun, becoming his own favorite project. He very much loves "Amun," aka himself.

Images

Sapphire Spica

Amun

Amun trusted Sapphire too, though not entirely, wary of her coldness and lack of concern for others' lives. Even if he didn't fully trust her, he'd still go along with just about anything she said, because she was far smarter than him, thus "must be right." His low self esteem played a lot into his extreme trust of others smarter than him.

Feelings
Feelings

Sapphire

Sapphire finds Amun weak, and Deimos insane. She doesn't trust either of them.

"Amun" (Deimos)

Deimos looks up to Sapphire, fully admitting she's the more competent of the two of them. That said, he's competitive just like her, and hopes for the chance to one day best her. If backstabbing her gives him more knowledge or power, he'd do it in a heartbeat, and he knows the feeling is mutual.

Feelings
Feelings

Sapphire

Sapphire finds Deimos a "friend" only because they share similar values, which is rare to come by. She's annoyed by his smarminess, and finds his obsessive insanity clouds his better judgement. She doesn't trust him, but she'll gladly work with him, to achieve her own goals.

Images

Rey Acrux

Amun

Amun doesn't trust Rey and her brash personality, especially since she's trying to tear him and his other friends apart at every turn. Despite this, he does minorly crush on her.

Feelings
Feelings

Rey

Like Deimos, Rey obsesses over Amun and finds Deimos and Sapphire threats to Amun's existence. She's not wrong, but she goes about it the wrong way, being far too brash with her accusations, leading her to just look paranoid and clingy over Amun, which works in the two scientists' favor. She eventually goes missing. One of the two is responsible. Probably Deimos, but Sapphire doing it would be neat...

"Amun" (Deimos)

Deimos despises Rey, who is a constant thorn in his side. Their obsessive personalities clash, but due to his smarts and less hot-headed personality, he wins out in the end, Amun trusting him more.

Feelings
Feelings

Rey

Rey is paranoid in general, but happens to be right about Deimos being a threat. She can't stand him and wishes the worst on him. They bicker constantly when they happen to be in the same room.

Images

Deneb Algedi

Amun

Amun feels most comfortable around Deneb, and technically likes her more than anyone else. Regrettably, Amun's low self-esteem makes him still discard her opinions for Deimos and Sapphire's, which helps lead him to his fate.

Feelings
Feelings

Deneb

Deneb cares deeply for Amun, and wants to protect him from those who wish to abuse him. She tries her best to steer him away from Deimos and Sapphire, and partially succeeds, convincing Amun to not let them do anything too drastic. Regrettably, her death on the battlefield makes Amun spiral, and without Deneb's guidance, he does turn to his other two "friends" for help instead, fully giving himself up to them.

"Amun" (Deimos)

To Deimos, Deneb is nothing but a threat, and unlike Rey, a genuine one. Deneb was capable of truly wresting some control of Amun away from Deimos. Lawful enough to not flat out murder, Deimos studied Deneb for years, waiting for an excuse to off him "legally." He got his chance when he finds Deneb helping an enemy child in a war-torn area and shoots her on sight, keeping it a secret from Amun, instead "comforting" him by telling him Deneb died because she messed up: she was flawed. But they don't have to be flawed like Deneb. They can be perfect.

Feelings
Feelings

Deneb

Deneb knows Deimos is a bad influence on Amun, but also knows heated confrontations like the ones Rey has aren't going to fix anything. She instead tries to steer Amun away in more subtle ways, or when Deimos isn't around. She knew Deimos was capable of terrible things, but she didn't expect him to go as far as killing her when he had the chance.
